Eczacıbaşı Consumer Products Releases 2023 Sustainability Summary Report

Eczacıbaşı Consumer Products has published its 2023 Sustainability Summary Report, showcasing the company’s significant progress and measurable achievements in environmental, economic, and social sustainability.

The report highlights that in 2023, 100% of the electricity used in the company’s facilities in Turkiye came from renewable energy sources. Energy efficiency projects led to savings of 9,527 MWh, reflecting the company’s dedication to reducing its environmental footprint. By prioritizing strategies in the circular economy and water management, Eczacıbaşı Consumer Products recycled 96% of its waste and committed to increasing the use of recycled materials in its plastic packaging. Water conservation initiatives achieved a 5% reduction in water usage at the Yalova facility, and overall water usage intensity was reduced by 15% compared to 2021.

The company also reinforced its commitment to fostering a fair, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture centered on equality and diversity. Notable progress was made in increasing gender representation, with 42.2% of professional roles held by women and the proportion of female blue-collar workers rising to 16.7%. These milestones reflect Eczacıbaşı Consumer Products’ dedication to advancing gender equality and inclusivity across its operations.
